High ceilings, double-glazed windows, generous layouts - old-town apartments have qualities that current construction simply cannot replicate. However, during renovations, these values are often needlessly lost under layers of new materials and bad decisions.
Where is the line between reasonable modernization and unnecessary replacement of the old? How can you get the most out of an apartment with history without losing what makes it unique? This will be the subject of a discussion with a trio of female and male architects from Bratislava who have repeated experience with similar tasks.
