About event
A new travel lecture from the workshop of photographer Pavel Svoboda about winter trips to the peculiar east.
-------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- --------
The combination of wild mountains, delicious food and warm people works in attractive Georgia even during winter. The snowy Caucasus, the celebration of the New Year and Orthodox Christmas spiced up with more than one glass of homemade wine and schnapps. Famous Silk Road monuments in Uzbekistan remain deserted during the winter. We know mountainous Kyrgyzstan as a great summer destination for mountain hikes, but what about in winter? What were the frosts like in Central Asia, where can you go skiing and how many thermal pools did we find? Winter trips open up new adventurous challenges.
Pavel Svoboda (*1985) is a trained geographer living his dream as a travel photographer. The author of popular travel lectures has spent several years of his life traveling around Asia, South America and Northern Europe. Lover of high mountains, remote regions and little-known destinations. He presented the stories of great six-month journeys in the photographic travelogues Across South America and Across Asia, and now he is coming out with his third book entitled Mountain Wanderers.
