ZBRAŠOVSKY ARAGONITE CAVES

Zbrašovské aragonite caves are located in a picturesque river valley in the spa Teplice nad Bečvou. It is a unique cave system of European importance created by the simultaneous action of atmospheric and warm mineral waters emerging from great depths in the limestone. The unique decoration consists of the mineral aragonite, as well as raft stalagmites and spherical sinter coatings resembling doughnuts. The lowest levels of the caves are permanently filled with carbon dioxide gas. They are the warmest caves in the entire Czech Republic with a year-round constant temperature of 14.5 °C. They were discovered at the turn of 1912/13 and made accessible to the public since 1926. Not far from the caves is the world's deepest flooded chasm and the deepest chasm in the Czech Republic - Hranická.

HRANICKÁ PROPAST

Hranická chasm is the deepest chasm in the Czech Republic with a total, verified and measured depth of 519.5 m. At the same time, thanks to the record water depth of 450 m, it is the deepest flooded chasm in the world. Its bottom, however, has still not been reached.. The new viewing platform allows a wonderful view of the esophagus of the abyss, which is 104 m long, 34 wide and 69.5 m deep. The apparent bottom of the esophagus is a green lake, but the Abyss continues much deeper through giant flooded spaces. today they are a top cardiorehabilitation center. It stands directly above the cave system, which includes the Zbrašovské aragonite caves — the warmest caves in the Czech Republic — and the deepest flooded chasm in the world. Spa Teplice in Bohemia specializes in the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, nervous and circulatory systems, using thermal springs and complex rehabilitation procedures
