About event
A special part of the cycle of popularizing lectures Lightbulbs, in which students or graduates of prestigious universities, as well as entrepreneurs and creative people, introduce participants to the world of science and innovation. On the occasion of AI Days, participants can once again look forward to three young talented experts, this time they will focus on AI and present what possibilities and challenges the future can bring.
The event moderated by Jan Lukačevič, space engineer, member of the advisory board of the NATO Secretary General's Corps and popularizer of science, takes place in front of an audience eager to learn about new trends, get to know a young point of view and enrich their thinking.
What are the current challenges in the field of AI security , how do AI Safety Institutes work and what do they do or how to defend against adversarial attacks?
The guests will be husband and wife Stanislav and Kristina Forto. Stanislav is dedicated to research and development in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning at the world level. He studied applied mathematics and theoretical physics at Cambridge and specialized in black holes. At Google DeepMind, he researches large language models (LLM) and works to improve them in the field of security and intelligence. Standa was included in the 30 under 30 list and also works as an adviser to the Czech president and minister in the field of AI.
Kristina is an analyst with experience in international affairs, politics and technology and innovation, and is dedicated to researching global governance and management artificial intelligence. She worked on the EU's common foreign and security and defense policy. She led a project focused on gender equality in international affairs and speaks seven languages. Together, Standa and Kristina write a newsletter on research, progress and policy in the field of AI and are enthusiastic popularizers of science and technology.
Samuel Jankových, a physics student at Matfyz, who is studying the use of artificial intelligence in particle physics . He was the first to use deep neural networks, specifically the Transformer architecture, which is used, for example, in ChatGPT at the ATLAS experiment in CERN, where protons collide. They are currently trying to implement this AI directly into the ATLAS software so that all 4,000 physicists can use it in their search for new particles. In his work, he showed that the most modern machine learning techniques surpass the methods used so far.
The audience has the opportunity to become part of this unique talk show, where ideas, passion and striving for a better world meet. Žárovky offers the opportunity to meet the creators of tomorrow and use the opportunity to ask them anything.
The organizers of Žárovky are the business hub Opera and the Žárovky Foundation. The project is financially supported by Profimed. The special part of AI Days is co-organized by the initiative prg.ai with the kind support of the Municipal Library in Prague.
