Zahradní čtvrť Ořechovka

Commented walk through the Ořechovka residential district. This quiet and green part of Střešovice was created in the 1920s and was inspired by English garden cities. Participants of the walk will find terraced houses built for civil servants, but also a number of interesting solitary villas. It was built here according to the projects of Pavel Janák, Alois Dryák and Ladislav Machoná. Several well-known artists also had their homes here: the sculptor Bohumil Kafka, the painters Emil Filla and Václav Špála, as well as the well-known medalist Otakar Španiel.

Important information:

• Meeting point: tram stop "Ořechovka" direction from the center.
• Duration of the walk: approx. 1.5 hours.
• End of the walk: street Cukrovarnická.
• Filming or recording of the guide during the explanation is not allowed.

Ticket advance sales end one hour before the start of the walk. Tickets can only be purchased on the spot if the capacity of the walk has not been filled. The organizer reserves the right to cancel the walk in case of low interest. The participants with the ticket will be informed about the cancellation of the walk and the money will be returned to their account. Children under the age of 6 have free entry.
