About event
The First World War was an important milestone in the history of warfare. In addition to many others, a new weapon - Air Force - was also used for the first time on a larger scale. Aviators from the Czech lands, whether Czechs or Czech Germans, were about a third of the Austro -Hungarian Austria. They contributed significantly in its development and combat deployment in Russia, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Romania, Italy and last but not least above the waves of the Adriatic. At the same time, they occupied command sites at all levels of command and control on the fronts and background. Quite logically - especially with regard to their number - also stood at the beginnings of building the interwar MS. Air Force and Home Aviation Industry. Several dozen Czech pilots, usually also former members of the Austro -Hungarian Air Force, also worked within MS. Legions.
