Z Pohořelce k vilám prezidentů

The route of this commented walk will first take its participants to the remains of the Hradčany fortifications, to the places where the artillery cemetery was once located. It will then continue to the eastern edge of the Ořechovka residential district. It is here that you can find a whole series of luxurious residences, once built for a rich, mostly business clientele. Participants will learn, among other things, how the owner of a prosperous leather factory lived in an unusual way, who the crazy silk worker was and what connects him to Ořechovka, where an important Nazi office was located during the war, or which villa President Václav Havel chose as his home. They will also commemorate one of the bravest figures of the anti-Nazi resistance - staff captain Václav Morávek, one of the legendary "Three Kings".

Important information:

• Meeting point: at the "Pohořelec" tram stop by the astronomers' monument.
• Duration of the walk: approx. 1.5 hours.
• End: Václava Park Moravka.
• Children under the age of 6 have free entry.
• Tickets can only be purchased on the spot if the capacity of the walk has not been filled.
• The organizer reserves the right to cancel the walk in case of low interest. The participants with the ticket will be informed about the cancellation of the walk and the money will be returned to their account.
