From Cibulka to Plzeňská with Prague wide open.

The Enlightenment influences the last quarter of the 18th and the beginning of the 19th century. It emphasizes reason, science, truthfulness. The relationship not only with man, but also with nature is changing significantly, and this is reflected in a new understanding of the landscape.

Large landscape parks are being created around Prague. These are built ingeniously so that the visitor enters places apparently created by nature. Until now, the agricultural and utilitarian landscape has turned into an excursion and ornamental landscape, which, of course, had to provide not only rest, but also the necessary lessons. The romanticism of the first half of the 19th century combines history, mystery and exoticism.

In the parks you can find interesting plants, but also numerous water features, statues, gazebos, ruins, observation towers. On the walk, the participants will walk through the park of Leopold Leonard Thun-Hohenstein around the original Cibulka homestead.

On the way to Plzeňská, they will pass the garden colony of family houses from the 1920s and the interesting functionalist church of St. Jan Nepomucký. It will end in the places where the Kavalírka film studio of director Karel Lamač used to be.
