About event
An engaging performance full of twists and funny incidents, accompanied by the playing of the handmade hook harp maker himself. The program is supplemented by 4 harp "tasters" - the first lesson of playing this instrument for pre-registered people. All this under the kind roof of the Community of Christians in Prague.
Do you know that...
* You too can play the harp?
* Was it once a Czech folk instrument?
* don't you need movers to transport the harp?
* used to be played by those who weren't good enough for the violin?
No? So come to the show. You will experience a surprise. You will experience beauty. You will experience laughter. And a harpist will surely come too 😉
"Czech nomadic harpists traveled the whole world at a time when not only was there no Facebook, but there was no real railway either! There were times when in the Czech harp town of Nechanice, teacher Malý could not teach children to play and the carpenter Eben (or Erben?) did not have time to make new harps..."
If I didn't know the whole story, I wouldn't believe it. Come and hear how clever the Czechs were and still are. How world culture developed thanks to us and why we must rediscover the harp now. Experience the beauty of the harp in folk, classical or popular music. Try "for yourself" what it's like to play the harp.
