In June 2026, we will commemorate the 90th birthday of Jan Schmid, the founder of Studio Ypsilon. Jan Schmid – Czech actor, director, cultural columnist, lyricist, artist, illustrator, screenwriter, playwright, presenter, theater manager and organizer, theater pedagogue and for more than 60 years the first and only principal of Ypsilonka – left an indelible mark on the Czech theater. 5. with the performance Večer na Cibulka or Tobogan from Ypsilonka - Jan Schmid 90, where Jan Schmid will be remembered by Aleš Cibulka, Miroslav Kořínek, Jakub Schmid, Markéta Sýkorová, Jana Kopecká, Lilian Malkina, Jiří Lábus and all of Ypsilonka.
