✨ What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga consists primarily of long yoga positions on the floor, sitting or lying down. Most of these postures are performed without muscle activity. By holding the asanas calmly and for a long time, very deep tissues and areas of the body (fascia) are addressed. Blockages, tensions and shortenings in the connective tissue, ligaments and joints can be released.
Yin Yoga encourages you to trust the knowledge of your body. It allows you to find the right variation of a posture and your own maximum mobility for your body. Your body is stretched, compressed and rotated so that stress and tension of mental, physical and emotional origins can dissolve.
Yin Yoga offers you an excellent counterbalance to the 'Yang' lifestyle of goal and performance orientation , which often dominates our lives in the West. A Yin Yoga practice is characterized by calm and reflection, a meditative, healing introspection, no action but letting things happen. Sometimes the exercises may challenge you and take you out of your comfort zone, but on other days and in other positions you will find it easy to melt and enjoy. The attitude of Yin Yoga can best be summarized as follows: Accept things as they are at the moment.
Stress, hectic pace and performance orientation remain outside the door in this course.
No previous knowledge is necessary. This course is suitable for both beginners and advanced yogis, as each exercise can be varied accordingly.
