Y / Why

“Why search for the meaning of things through a dance performance? Why not."

The latest performance by Václav Kuneš closes with an imaginary triptych composed of three choreographies that follow each other (not only in time). EVER Y WHERE, the common mosaic of their names thus forms a simple structure of a connecting element and thus the basic principle – movement.

“Movement makes sense when it is properly timed in space.”

The “why” question is perhaps the first question. And it may be the last one. But between the "first and last" people use it every day. Sometimes out of genuine curiosity, sometimes out of absolute misunderstanding of (some) individuals, society and the world around. The dynamics of the relationship between the individual and the group is the group's inspiration for many dance creations and gags, but also for a trip to the deepest corners of their own souls.

The performance takes place as part of the Festival Bread & Dance Prague 2024 .
