27. Year of the year -round seminar of historical dances for beginners and advanced in connection since 1998. The lessons have been held every Monday from 17:30 to 19:30 in the dance hall of the elementary school under Vyšehrad, Vratislavova 64/13, Prague 2 /Station Tram.
start of teaching: Monday 6. 10. 2025 at 17:30.
Last lesson: Monday 5. 1. 2026 at 17:30. hours.
Program:
The oldest monuments of instrumental (dance) music from the end of the 12th and 13th centuries, the expression of movement and dance technology in the 14th and 15th centuries not only at the courtyards of medieval nobility and rulers, but also in the burgher and village environments. The teaching program also includes dances according to the first written records of choreography in Italian manuscripts from the 3rd quarter of the 15th century. Participation is not conditional on attending previous courses. The length of one lesson is 120 min including the break. If you want to buy them and do not know where, we will recommend several shops. Gentlemen can use shoes for social dance in teaching historical dance, ladies of so -called pedagogical biscuits with low heel. (It is not possible to use women's social shoes on a high -heeled heel!). Ladies need long wide skirts.
