About event
A riveting debut - a quick end and a fifteen-year hiatus - a fantastic second album. Manchester band WU LYF's trajectory is tight, effortless and utterly authentic. Fans of the cult debut from 2011 didn't even hope for the new A Wave That Will Never Break. WU LYF are enigmatic and yet immediately understandable, the equation guitar + funk + soul + r&b = heavy pop still works.

WU LYF was always better left unspoken, experienced rather than discussed. Words killed it. You just had to feel it.
What it will become we do not know.
You don't dig up the seed to see if it grows.
You wait. You trust.
You know the tree by its fruits.
Our hands know what our minds forgot.
