About event
The world, nature and mental health
Two-day workshop for primary and secondary school teachers from the capital. m. Prague
How to talk to pupils about the climate crisis, fear of the future and the relationship with nature in a way that supports their psychological resistance and well-being?
We invite you to a two-day workshop that connects environmental education and mental health care in schools. We will focus on how the current situation in the world affects the psyche of children and teenagers, what emotions the climate crisis can evoke and how to work with these topics sensitively and practically in teaching.
A space for sharing, self-experience and specific inspiration for practice awaits you. We will introduce activities that you can easily transfer into the classroom, and we will also look at how to take care of your own mental health and find support in the natural environment. The Therapy among Trees program for teachers on the website also emphasizes the connection between the impact of the climate crisis, environmental grief, being in nature and mental health, including practical interventions and exercises.
Workshop topics:
• climate crisis and the psyche of students
• fear of the future
• relationship with nature
• wellbeing
• practical activities for teaching
