Sign up for a workshop for critics led by Hana Strejčková, focused on reflecting on productions for children and youth and on developing specific tools for their critical reading.
In a small group of a maximum of eight participants, we will focus on the specifics of a work intended for a children's audience, the questions of its assessment and the possibilities of how to write about it in wider artistic and social contexts. The program will include a visit to selected performances of the Feet Forward festival, joint discussions on emerging texts and their consultation. The selected texts will be published.
HANA STREJČKOVÁ is a theater director, dramaturg, choreographer, performer, columnist and teacher. For a long time, he has been engaged in creations for children and youth, movement theater, participatory forms and pedagogical activities. He works at HAMU and UPOL and also cooperates with a number of Czech and foreign institutions. He publishes regularly both on online platforms and in print media. She is a member of the international board of the Association of Theater Critics AICT/IATC, where, among other things, she oversees the Young Critics Workshops initiative and the executive committee of the Czech Center ASSITEJ. In his work, he combines artistic, pedagogical and research practice.
