The rose: fragrant remedy, aphrodisiac and beauty elixir

On a warm summer day, the sweet scent of roses spreads throughout the whole Garden.

The scent of the rose invigorates, stimulates the circulation and nervous system and simply makes you happy. Cleopatra already appreciated its aphrodisiac properties and bathed in rose water. Love drinks and sensual dishes were refined with rose petals and rose water, sweets were soaked in rose syrup.

Their use in medicine also goes back far into antiquity. With its medicinal active ingredients, the rose can contribute a lot to health and well-being.

Let's enjoy the sight of it and revel in its scent: on a tour through the garden we get to know old rose varieties and their active ingredients.
