Regardless of our social status or follower count, our asses are all the same at the end of the day!
꧁ᬊᬁᬊ᭄꧂
There is a ball tonight at Himalaya Castle. Master Fior himself, the hegemon of clothing, came all the way from Paris to present the princely couple and the entire estate with the fashions of the future.
But what? Pleasant notes speed up into a confusing chorus. The local still refuses to polish the set varnishes. And someone quite quietly calls out: NA - HO - TA...
The suffocating certainty of falling is slowly being woven into the sprawling ball of masks, dresses and emptied rituals. But now to the dance! Play music!
Because: who would ask, when the music is playing,
if this is the last dance.
The play by the Polish playwright Witold Gombrowicz is a parody of an operetta that points to the conflict of one's own authenticity and personal identity with a social mask and expectations.
