12 km hiking route with amazing views in Saxon Switzerland * Winterstein * Goldstein * Grosser Winterberg * Kipphorn

Winterstein is a sandstone rock massif in the Saxon Switzerland National Park. At the top are the remains of the rock castle of the same name. The Zeughaus (armoury) is a resting place with the possibility of refreshments. Goldsteinaussicht is a remarkable vantage point for the surrounding rock formations of Saxon Switzerland and the neighboring Český Švýcarks. With its height of 556 m, the Grosser Winterberg is the second highest peak in Saxon Switzerland. Its lookout tower offers nice panoramic views.

* Departure from Prague, hl.n. at 6:47 a.m. (access is possible in Holešovíce at 6:57 a.m., in Podbaba at 7:02 a.m., in Kralupy nad Vltavou at 7:19 a.m., Roudnice nad Labem at 7:44 a.m. and Ústí nad
Labem at 8:16 a.m.). If you are going to access the route, it must be indicated in the reservation form.
* 8.32 arrival in Děčín

* 8.38 departure by train to Bad Schandau.(direction Rumburk)

* 9.06 arrival in Bad Schandau

* 9.20 bus crossing to Neumannmühle (9.49)

* 12 km route through a sea of rocks and rocky viewpoints - Winterstein, Goldstein, Grosser Winterberg, Kipphorn, refreshment options along the route - Zeughaus, Grosser Winterberg

* at the finish, the possibility of sitting in the picturesque Saxon village of Schmilka with a mill, home bakery and microbrewery

* crossing by boat ferry to the railway station in Schmilka

* at 18.56 departure by train with a connecting transfer in Děčín to Prague

* at 21.10 arrival in Prague



Warning: Ladders and stairs lead to the top of Winterstein - you can skip it. The trip is intended for more experienced tourists.
