Historical tour: From the crematorium to Cultural Quarter

The former Berlin-Wedding crematorium is one of the listed buildings in Berlin and reflects the city's history in a unique way. Built between 1909 and 1910 as the city's first crematorium, the building has been a testament to the change in funeral culture in Germany for over a century. When the empty building was advertised for sale by the Berlin Senate, silent green was awarded the contract at the beginning of 2013. After a comprehensive renovation by silent green (2013-2015), in close cooperation with the Berlin monument protection agency, the independent project has found its home here.

The meeting point is in front of the cast-iron gate to the inner courtyard.

Unfortunately, the area is not completely barrier-free!
