Singing Christmas carols in the Christmas stable
Event by: Die Baptisten in Berlin „Friedenskirche Charlottenburg“
Location: Bismarckstr., Wilmersdorfer Straße 41, Berlin - Bezirk Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf
About event
A musical Advent evening with the student band “Starnotes”
and lots of Christmas spirit in the stable**
The evening begins with a concert by the “Starnotes”, the student band of the St. Hildegard Catholic School.
Children and young people from primary school age to 10th grade make music in the band. They rehearse on Fridays - sometimes even during the big break - and play rock and pop covers as well as their own pieces. Passion, joy of playing and a lot of heart - that's what the "Starnotes" are all about.
In the second part we sing the most beautiful Christmas songs together - accompanied by Sebastian Sackmann on the trumpet and Pastor Hendrik Kissel. There is also mulled wine and punch in the warm stable.
About Sebastian Sackmann
Growing up in beautiful Baden, he discovered his love for the trumpet at the age of six. He came to Berlin to study for his master’s degree – and stayed. In addition to his engineering profession, he dedicates a large part of his time to music: church music, symphony orchestra, jazz, light music - Sebastian moves effortlessly through all genres.
He plays regularly in ensembles such as the Junge Kammerphilharmonie Berlin, the Berlin Sibelius Orchestra and the Spreeblech formation.
An evening full of music, light and shared Christmas joy - a warm welcome!
