Baroque Garden Grosssedlitz
Baroque Garden Großsedlitz is a grandiose work of garden art from the late Baroque period. The garden complex with more than 400 plants in large pots, among them 150 orange trees, which are exhibited in the summer months, wide steps, fountains, precisely trimmed bushes, 64 sandstone sculptures and decorative vases, attracts visitors to experience and celebrate in the green.
The structure of the park complex has not changed since 1732. The realization of two opposite slopes is very exceptional north of the Alps. The combination of French and Italian Baroque represents a unique gem of Saxon garden art.

Weesenstein Castle
People go to Weesenstein Castle to tour the interiors, horse stables, baroque hall and castle park. What is unusual is that the stables are located on the fifth floor.

Few people know that this gem played an important role at the end of the Second World War. Thanks to its good location and construction advantages, it has become a secret hiding place for works of art from all over Saxony, including Dresden. Under the supervision of Nazi experts, it was supposed to survive the bombing here, in order to eventually return to the original museums and galleries. But the advancing Russians had other plans...
At the castle there is a beautiful park designed in French style, you can have refreshments in the castle cafe.
