Every second Sunday of the month, from The wedding market takes place on Leopoldplatz from May to November 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The first date starts on May 12th. The Weddingmarkt is celebrating its 12th anniversary, the start of the season and Mother's Day all in one!
Based on the results of an audience survey, some exciting innovations have been introduced. From now on the market will always take place on the 2nd Sunday of the month. Instead of on the 1st Sunday as before. In addition, visitors can look forward to a wine stand offering cool drinks for the first time. In addition, the poster was given a new summery design to increase anticipation for our events.
The audience can expect an exciting Sunday with around 100 high-quality alternating exhibitors, 10 street food stands, as well as a side program Music and dance. In addition, innovative, triangular stands - which were designed and produced specifically for the wedding market - will give Leopoldplatz an artistic flair.
The diversity of the lively district is shown. Artisans, designers and artists show their work. Ceramics, screen prints, glass art, illustrations, paintings, handmade jewelry, photographs, homemade fashion and unusual art objects. Everything “Made in Berlin”.
Gastronomers spoil visitors with street food - from coffee, unusual ice cream flavors, sweet churros, spicy Mexican dishes, sourdough pizza, Asian bao buns, vegan fusion creations, to unusual French creations, everything is available the discerning palate. And for the first time: a wine stand with selected cool wines from winemakers.
The exhibitors change at every appointment, so that a visit always remains interesting.
In addition to relaxed street music, the fountain field on Leopoldplatz is transformed into a dance floor. From 3:30 p.m. there will be a small introductory course in the Brazilian Forró dance, with a free choice of partner. Everyone is welcome.
A special highlight is offered for children at every appointment, which will be announced in advance.
Entry to the market is free. All dates in 2024 are: May 12th, June 9th, July 14th, August 11th, September 8th, October 13th, November 10th, December 1st, December 8th, December 15th, December 22nd, respectively from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., in December 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
