WebUP is a gathering of enthusiasts for web development and related topics in Žilina. WebUp#67 will take place on Thursday 25.06.2026 18:00 physically on-site at KC Hoffmann Žilina! Come listen to great talks, learn new things, have a beer and chat not only about web technologies with the speakers and each other.
**#1 Local AI inference: From pocket hardware to corporate supercomputers - Miroslav Martvoň & Ján Jakubčík (Finstat, Kinit)**
Miro and Ján will guide you through an open cross-section of the world of local AI inference. Real experiences, tested use-cases and also overcome hardware obstacles. All this from the environment of home labs, business operations at Finstat and supercomputers at KiniTe. You will understand what you can run on what hardware and what you can expect - when a simple smartphone or mini-PC is enough for you, and when you run into a hard wall of network bandwidth or VRAM limits. No theoretical slop - only pure benchmarks, lessons learned from production and examples of real work of models in local deployment.
**#2 Vlkov Mesačník - Marián "Vlko" Vlčák (Finstat)**
Vlko will take you through the events that caught his attention in the IT world in the past month in a few minutes.
**#3 ¿ Your Lighting Talk ?**
Are you interested in technology, tool, new language, have you tried something new? Come tell everyone about it. 5-10 minutes, just register at the beginning of the event.
**#4 Local Inference Open Tables**
You will have the opportunity to touch some of the mentioned local deployments live. Sharing local inference experience with each other.
