Walking Tour "Un'altra Vienna: il Zentralfriedhof tra storia e bellezza"

A unique place where history, art and nature tell the most authentic soul of Vienna.

🌸 It's not our first time at Zentralfriedhof Vienna: we have already been there in November and the cold really put us to the test! This time, however, we return to discover this extraordinary place in the colors of spring, with nature awakening and a completely different atmosphere. 🌿 The famous Viennese monumental cemetery will welcome us with its tree-lined avenues full of greenery and, with a bit of luck, even some deer walking among the trees 🦌

Together with our super guide Alessandra Brucchietti we are going to discover the Zentralfriedhof, one of the largest cemeteries in Europe and a true open-air museum. Inaugurated in 1874, it contains areas dedicated to different religions, splendid funerary monuments, long avenues surrounded by greenery and the spectacular church of San Carlo Borromeo, a masterpiece of Viennese Art Nouveau. ⛪

During the tour we will also see the tombs of famous people who made the history of music and culture, including Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, Strauss and many others.
