Helena Sumbalova's work is born in the space between silence, words and music. Her paintings do not offer unequivocal answers, but create a space in which the viewer can hear them.
The exhibition "Only music knows the answer" presents a selection of mostly abstract paintings that were created as a process of searching - without a fixed intention, in a dialogue with inner experience, sometimes in complete silence and self-immersion, other times under the significant influence of music and external circumstances.
In them, the author explores the boundaries between what is obvious, what can be named and what we only suspect and remains unsaid.
they do not act as closed statements, but as open situations that invite the viewer to their own interpretation.
