Vyšehrad – na skále hrad

"I see a great city, whose glory will touch the stars," said Princess Libuše when she prophesied the glory of Prague from the Vyšehrad rock. From there, she allegedly threw "used" lovers into the river from her spa, and a little later Horymír was supposed to jump from Šemík into the Vltava river from approximately the same place, paradoxically saving his life...

Probably few places in Prague can boast of so many events that probably never happened, like this second Prague castle. On the other hand, there are few places in the world where such a large number of personalities are resting that "even though they are dead, they still speak". During a walk through Vyšehrad, visitors will enjoy its atmosphere and learn a lot not only about it, but also about the objects located in its area and nearby. As well as about the personalities who found their final resting place within the walls of the Vyšehrad Cemetery.

What to look forward to: Several legends, the Táborská and Leopoldov gates, the Rotuda of St. Martin, to the views, to the Basilica of St. Peter and Paul, the Devil's Column, the statue from Wenceslas Square, a walk through the cemetery and many of its famous residents (M. Horáková, K. Čapek, M. Alše, B. Němcová, J. Neruda, B. Smetana and many others)...
