Special steam edition Vyhybka show
And JURAJ BARBARIČ will also come!
Summer, sun, relaxation... and a great opportunity to experience the SPECIAL STEAM EDITION VYHYBKA Show, which will take place on August 15, 2026.
This time we will meet for the first time at the Alpinka terminus under the open sky, and since it is a nostalgic steamy day this weekend, nostalgia will not be missing either before this ride.
Almost 30 years ago, Košice's HERKULES Juraj Barbarič, listed in the Guinness World Records book, pulled a historic set on the Children's Railway and it is possible that he will also pull it on 15/08/2026, will you come to see and support him?
In 1999, he pulled 20 railway freight wagons with a weight of approximately 1000 tons and a length of 4.5 meters under his own power. He is a person with a big heart, who also made Košice famous in the world in this way.
The whole event will start at the Čermeľ station, from where the audience will be taken by the oldest operable narrow-gauge steam locomotive Katka. A romantic ride on a historic train will gracefully bring you to Alpinka, where you will sit comfortably and together we will open the next edition of the Výhybka Show.
The talk show was created on the initiative of a team of volunteers and supporters of the Košice Children's Historical Railway - the last functional children's railway in Slovakia and the Czech Republic with the aim of promoting, supporting and maintaining this unique cultural heritage.
