About event
The Malostranský Cemetery Association invites you to the first walk from the cycle "Two years with Rilka". The poet was born on December 4, 1875 to Josef Rilka and his wife Sophia, née Entz (1841–1931), which grew up in Panská Street in the no longer existent small palace. He was baptized (relatively late, the child was premature and very fragile) up to 14 December of the same year in the nearby church of St. Jindřich. Therefore, our association would like to give him a quiet memory in this church, and then continue with thematic walks on the objects of the old town associated with poet's life and work (especially with his second collection Larenopfer/sacrifice to Lára). In addition to contemporary photographs, a walk will be led by the cultural officer of the Gabriela Kalinová Association, an expert in Prague's German literature and the curator of the Kafkaorte exhibition, accompanied by a citation of poems directly devoted to the places concerned. Jindřich in Jindřišská Street, estimated duration: 2 hours. In the case of high temperatures or bad weather, a larger part of the walk will be held in the church. Free admission, without booking. Dates of walks and other events will be specified on the website of the Lesser Town Cemetery ( www.malostranskyhbitov.cz ). Ralsko - suddenly, on 6 December 2025. The commemorative act and the lecture will be connected with a walk to the extinct courtyard Ostroh, which will be led by Ing. Petr Polakovič.
