About event
VSE CITY RUN is an original concept of charity runs in the city centers of eastern Slovakia, which is part of the year-round sports program of the International Peace Marathon in Košice.
The first starting shot was fired in 2008 in Košice and today it ranks among the largest charity and sports events in Slovakia. Almost 49,000 runners in 7 cities actively participated in it, and the value of charitable aid in 2025 exceeded €192,000. Children, seniors, amateur athletes, sports clubs, students and famous personalities are traditionally involved in the project. The entry fee from the non-competitive 4 km run is annually donated in full to the benefit of the selected recipient. This year, aid will go to the civic association PLATFORMA RODÍN of children with disabilities (www.platformarodin.sk). A financial donation from the general partner - VSE, which has supported this project since its inception, will be added to the proceeds from the entry fee. In addition to running and charitable aid, the event also features an attractive accompanying program, music and a final raffle.
