About event

The closing workshop will take place at Charles University (Prague, Czechia) and will serve to summarize the project's outcomes and outline future applications of the work accomplished. The workshop will be held over two days, each with a distinct focus.

One of the days, the core team of the project will evaluate the methodology developed and tested throughout the project. This will include a critical assessment of the data collection protocols, transcription and annotation processes, and the integration of these activities into university curricula. The objective will be to refine the methodology for potential replication and expansion in future projects.

The other day will be open to a broader audience, including the participating students, researchers, and educators interested in Spanish as a foreign language and applied linguistics. During this session, the team will present preliminary findings derived from the corpus, highlighting challenges observed in areas such as morphosyntax, lexis, and pragmatics in the context of contrastive analysis between Spanish and the native languages of the learners (Polish, Czech, and Slovak). These findings will illustrate the practical insights that can be gained from the corpus, demonstrating its relevance to both linguistic research and language teaching practices.

This workshop will conclude the project, showcasing its outcomes and potential to advance future research and teaching innovations in Spanish language education.
