Guilt and feelings of guilt, how to work with them

Good and evil are not arbitrary labels that we assign to external things and situations, but are concepts that express our perception of whether these things and situations objectively lead to life or death, to development or decay.
The core of the seminar is the analysis of the psychological concept of guilt and the approach to it.
Experientially, guilt represents "being the cause of some evil" and in relation to one's own person we can adopt a basically three-fold approach: intrapunitive - attributing guilt to oneself, extrapunitive - tending to attribute guilt for some evil to other people, or impunitive - trying to deny the very objective existence of guilt. In the seminar, in this context, we look for areas where we workers in the helping professions may have a blind spot when working with guilt. Very often we can find ourselves in a situation where we feel that we are not evaluating and judging, but in the depths of our minds we quite naturally consider the share of guilt of the participants.
Further on, in the seminar, we will focus on the ontogenesis of moral thinking, in more detail the topic of distinguishing between relevant and irrelevant feelings of guilt and what role this distinction plays in therapeutic work.
The area of therapeutic work with guilt will represent another important area of the seminar: In the area I-the-guilty, we focus on how to work so that guilt loses its self-destructive charge and becomes an engine of positive human transformation. In the I-victim area, we bring forgiveness as a central theme, where we will focus on what forgiveness is and how to distinguish it from denial and displacement. The seminar is tuned hagiotherapeutically, in the spirit of self-experience. Self-experience parts are interspersed with theoretical blocks.
