About event
The theme of this year's third issue of Verzia magazine is ecocriticism focused on the country where the "lungs of our planet" are located. For decades, we have been watching from a distance the drastic decline of the Amazon
forests and their gradual transformation into roads, plantations, dams and cities. However, together with nature, the indigenous inhabitants and communities that were established after the arrival of the colonizers are disappearing here. A selection of texts capturing a vivid image of endangered nature and people will be presented by one of the compilers of the issue, Zuzana Greksáková, in an interview with translators Lucia Halová and Elena Seitlerová. Hosted by Michal Tallo.
Time and venue: 22 October 2025 at 6:00 p.m., Mestská knižnica v Bratislava, Pod knižnicou,
Klariská 16, Bratislava.
Verzia magazine is published with the financial support of the Art Support Fund.
