We invite you to a new exhibition as part of the curatorial program for beginning curators. In the Čepan Gallery, you will be able to visit the exhibition of the Slovak artist Veronika Verešová, created with the curator Barbora Jurčová.
The Sediments of Fatigue exhibition deals with the regeneration of the body through spa therapy and the role played by the place and architecture where the treatment takes place. In her work, Veronika Verešová connects the current state of spa spaces with the principle of care, which is the basis of their ever-changing, sometimes degrading existence. Through material layers, he shows how wear and tear manifests itself on architecture and on the human body itself.

Veronika Verešová
She received her bachelor's degree at the Department of Intermedia at the University of Fine Arts in Bratislava, where he is currently completing his master's studies at the APK+video studio under the direction of Anton Čierne. She is a member of the civic association Unkulunkulu, focused on the creation of performative works that explore the "miracles" of the world around us, inner fascinations and their social resonances. At the same time, the author is involved in the newly established student activist initiative at VŠVU called Social Design. Their first art project took place in cooperation with the non-profit organization Human in danger and focused on positive social impact. In this spirit, the initiative would like to create other projects as well.
Barbora Jurčová
She is a recent graduate of her master's studies at the Department of Intermedia at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava in the APK+video studio. She received her Bachelor's degree at the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica in the field of graphics. During her bachelor's degree, she spent a year in Prague, where she studied at the Film and Television Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts at the Department of Photography in the Nová Estetika studio. She has had both group and individual exhibition projects, in which she appears either as a visual artist or curator. During her studies, she worked for more than a year at the Fotograf Gallery in Prague and at the Ján Koniark Gallery in Trnava. He is currently working as a curator in the artist run of Galerí Výklad in Trnava.
The exhibition was supported from public funds by the Art Promotion Fund and the City of Trnava.
The operation of the gallery is supported by Nádvorie and Trnava self-governing region.
