About event
💧 Lake Baikal is the oldest, deepest and most voluminous lake in the world, containing more than 20% of the world's fresh water.
Gabriela Bulišová and Mark Isaac spent a year in eastern Siberia and created a multifaceted project that places special emphasis on the lake's ecological problems, including rising pollution levels and rapid climate change.
With the help of experimental photos and multi-channel videos, they capture the vastness and majesty of the lake, the intimate moments of its resilient inhabitants and the peculiar places and the urgency of the dangers that threaten them.
🥂 The exhibition will be opened by the director of the Prague Capital Gallery Magdalena Juříková, the authors of the exhibition Gabriela Bulišová and Mark Isaac together with the emeritus professor in the field of environmental and ecological sciences Marianne V. Moore.
