Ladislav Csáder's photographic work represents an important, although less well-known, part of his artistic legacy. The author, whom we know primarily as a prominent figure in graphic design and typography, approached photography as a natural extension of his visual thinking. For him, the camera became not just a recording tool, but a means of sensitive exploration of space, light, rhythm and relationships that shape the character of everyday life.
The central motif of the exhibited photographs is Bratislava – a city with which Csáder was intrinsically connected and which became an inexhaustible source of his observation. His interest was not only directed towards architectural landmarks or representative views of the city. He was just as intensely attracted to the inconspicuous situations taking place on his streets, waterfronts and public spaces. In his photographs, panoramic views meet with intimate details, the monumentality of urban space with the everydayness of human stories. It is precisely in this ability to find the extraordinary in the ordinary that the author's visual sensitivity is fully manifested.
The curator of the exhibition is Natália Angletová.
The exhibition will last until August 30, 2026.

Ladislav Csáder's photographic oeuvre represents an important, though lesser-known, aspect of his artistic legacy. Best known as a distinctive figure in graphic design and typography, Csáder approached photography as a natural extension of his visual thinking. For him, the camera was not merely a tool for recording reality, but a means of sensitively exploring space, light, rhythm, and the relationships that shape the character of everyday life.
The central subject of the exhibited photographs is Bratislava – the city with which Csáder was deeply connected and which became an inexhaustible source of observation. His interest extended beyond architectural landmarks and representative city views. He was equally fascinated by the inconspicuous moments unfolding in its streets, along its embankments, and within its public spaces. In his photographs, panoramic views are juxtaposed with intimate details, while the monumentality of the urban landscape meets the everydayness of human experience. It is precisely in this ability to discover the extraordinary within the ordinary that the artist's visual sensitivity is most evident.
The exhibition is curated by Natália Angletová and will run until August 30, 2026.
