About event
Exhibition "DELICATE ON CANVAS" EHARČA
1.4.- 30.4. 2026
Opening: April 9, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
Curator: Mgr. Katarína Harčová
Musical guest: Sabrína Gråáková (vocals) and Sebastian Kuki (guitar)
VIP lounge and Café Gallery
In her work, Edita Harčová brings to life reminiscences of older works of art and revives memories of everyday life moments. Her paintings are a dialogue with the history of art - the author is inspired by Klimt's Kiss, the gesture of Spanish flamenco dancers or the poetics of everyday life.
The key element of her work is color - not only as a means of representation, but as a material and a symbol of various sensations and experiences. The colors of her canvases are reminiscent of the expressive approach of masters such as van Gogh or Matisse, where color carries the emotion and inner world of the author.
Nature and everyday moments fill the space of her paintings. However, it is not a vague space - in each work you can grasp the author's emotion and tenderness, which is especially visible in her still lifes with flowers. These works are reminiscent of the intimist tradition, where a deeper, personal meaning is revealed in simple motifs.
Gradually, the author gets to the central theme - the figure of a person at the epicenter of life. Whether it is her preview of Klimt's kiss or her capture of Spanish flamenco, she always looks for an authentic expression in human gesture and presence.
The author signs her works with the initials Eharča - a signature that is part of her artistic identity - Brandu. The diminutive evokes playfulness and intimacy, creates a recognizable author's handwriting, which also reflects the tenderness of the approach to each image.
