The transshipment of very high voltage power lines over Veľký Draždiak has been a topic of discussion for years. ⚡ Although it is a popular recreational location, residents of the green estate are concerned about its future fate. Naturally. After all, no one wants to lose a peaceful place to rest or endure additional construction.
They don't even have to. Západoslovenská distribučná a. with (ZSD) already last year came up with a plan to replace very high voltage cables that also pass through the territory of Petržalka. Therefore, starting last year (2023), the municipality re-entered the negotiations and proposed that not only the cables be replaced, but also the transshipment of the lines take place on its territory. ☝️
Even before the Petržal local council decides on the final proposal, the management of the municipality, led by Ján Hrček, wants to know the opinion of those who are most affected by the possible relocation of the line - residents of the green estate. For this reason, at the September meeting of the council, the mayor of Petržalka submitted a proposal to declare a local referendum on the matter of transshipment of the overhead line. 🗳️ However, before the green estate goes to the ballot boxes itself, it needs to have the opportunity to ask the competent people about the possible benefits of the entire transshipment.
That is why we have decided to hold public hearings, where we will present this intention to you and answer all questions. and we will comment on any concerns. There will be a total of 3 discussions, in the largest local parts of Petržalka. You can choose from the following dates:

The project would cost approximately 4 million euros in total. Of course, even in view of its budget, the municipality is not interested in paying for the entire transshipment with its own money and is currently negotiating with other actors in the area, including ZSD, the Capital of the SR Bratislava and other affected owners of land along the route of the existing line.
