Ventolin is an electronic music project by Czech producer David Doubek.
The most important aspect of the project are live performances. Ventolin plays on real instruments and sequencers, without the use of a computer. Ventolina's music draws from disco, techno, acid, pop and punk.
The project started accidentally in 2007 as a fun one-night stand, but quickly became the center of David's interests. He released two studio albums - "Totem" in 2012 and "b" in 2017, which became a breakthrough album in his career and the popular single "Disco Science" already has over 2.5 million views on YouTube.
The album had a more song-oriented character, and Ventolin created a live show that blended perfectly with the audience, bringing him many new fans and two and a half years of almost constant tours concerts, self-confidence, but also a growing sense of alienation. And then the pandemic came.
“The inflated cloud of fame I was riding on suddenly dissipated, and I wondered who I was, who I had become and what I had forgotten,” says Ventolin. This brought the more delicate and sensitive album "Dneska se vyčasilo" in 2021, in which he moved more towards song structure. The pandemic break also brought a new, more energetic version of concerts, with which Ventolin toured intensively until December 2023.
Currently, Ventolin is working on new material for the next album.
