What led a group of people to such risky and, as a result of the brutal consequences carrying a step as "hacking" Chinese state television? The film has won a number of international awards and was nominated for Canada for Oscars. This was followed by a massive police repression in Chang-Czech (Chinese 长春, which literally means "eternal spring"). Among those who had to flee were Daxiong - the famous comic illustrator (Justice League, Star Wars), as well as the practicing Falun Gong. He emigrated to North America with the feeling that this act only worsened the already brutal intervention against his community. Twenty years later, however, Daxiong reconsider his view when he encounters the only survivor of the then television "kidnapping" in Seoul, who managed to escape from China. Film Eternal Spring (长春) combines contemporary documentary shots with an impressive animation inspired by Daxiong's own art style. The result is a thrilling and emotional story of resistance to totalitarianism - narrated through authentic testimonies and visually riveting animations.Film is not only a tribute to human courage, but also a deep reflection on the price of freedom - a topic that remains up outside China.
