We invite you to the next Evening School entitled "Modern addictions: energy drinks, nicotine and cannabis under the microscope of science".
Energy drinks, nicotine sachets, vaping, THC, HHC or CBD are now widely available and often presented as modern, harmless or even "healthier" products. Their popularity is significantly supported by marketing on social networks, influencers and digital content, which can shape our decision-making more than we realize.
At the lecture, we will look at how these substances affect the brain and body, why they can lead to addiction and what role the digital space plays in their popularization, especially among young people.
Ing. Tomáš Pagáč, PhD., Deputy Director of the Anti-Doping Agency of the Slovak Republic, who will bring a scientific perspective on a topic that is being intensively discussed today in the field of health, sport and society.
