About event
The summer of 2026 will start in Cooltajner in style - with a 50-member orchestra playing world-famous tunes accompanied by a live projection. Don't miss this event and secure your tickets in time!
After last year's wonderful experience, the Evening of Film and Popular Melodies is coming again, performed by the more than 50-member brass symphonic Summer Wind Orchestra under the direction of conductor Peter Juris. This year too, the orchestra will play popular compositions and selected film images accompanied by in-time projection.
The concert will take place on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 from 7:30 p.m. in the courtyard of the Cooltajner Cultural Center, which will be created for this occasion. The space will be open to the audience from 18:00 exclusively for tickets purchased online or in person at the Koridor cafe.
What can you look forward to?
This year we have prepared an even stronger portion of beautiful and emotional melodies for you. During this evening, among other things, you can also look forward to soundtracks, compositions by authors or music compilations from films or musicals:
- the theme song from the musical The Phantom of the Opera written by the famous Adrew Lloyd Webber,
- the well-known march from the comedy series Police Academy,
- a compilation of music from the film Pirates of the Caribbean by the legendary composer Hans Zimmer,
- the final song from the film Sister in Action, which made the singer Peggy March famous,
- the very emotional and popular duet Vivo per lei by the composer and singer Andrea Bocelli will also be heard,
- the wonderful work of the legend of film music Ennio Morricone from the western Then in the West will also be featured,
- the right flight also includes a rerun of the comedy series The Gendarme from Saint Tropéz with the unforgettable Louie de Funés,
- but of course we have much more in store!
In addition to the orchestra, you will also be accompanied by its guests in the evening - singers Adela Žiaková, Barbora Žiaková, Lívia Lovíšková, Matej Drobný and Matúš Bandúr.
The program will be divided into two parts, separated by a roughly 25-minute break for refreshments.
