About event

It's unbelievable, but for the 10th year already, a group of friends - enthusiastic volunteers, under the banner of the Sixth Sense Endowment Fund, in cooperation with the Municipal District of Prague 6, have been organizing a charitable-cultural Christmas Bazaar.

On Friday, December 6 from 3 p.m. or on Saturday, December 7 from 11 a.m., forget the pre-Christmas rush and come to KINA DLABAČOV (Pyramid Hotel in Břevnov) to buy something small to please your loved ones. During the day, you can buy items from the charity collection (e.g. ceramics, Christmas decorations, toys, sports equipment, jewelry, household items) in the cinema premises.

AND WHO WILL WE HELP?

Miša is a 13-year-old boy who has childhood autism with moderate mental retardation. Míša was a healthy baby, but apparently as a result of the vaccination at the age of 18 months, he stopped communicating completely. Unfortunately, Míša does not speak at all and it is not certain whether she will ever start speaking. He needs constant adult supervision, which is provided by a single mother. Míša lives with her mother and older brother in a rented apartment, but her mother is now unemployed due to the necessary care for her son and is trying to find at least a half-time job so that she can take care of her son, but at the same time provide for the needs of the family.
Miša is a happy child, but he has frequent self-destructive affects, where he bites his hands, pulls his hair and bangs his head. Míša found his place in the studio, where he can go with his handicap and develop his creativity and paint with the help of an assistant. Míša does not speak at all, but painting makes him a calm and contented child.
Míša would very much like a harmonica, and mom would be very happy if the proceeds from the Christmas bazaar would pay for his spelling therapy, which helps him with communication. If it were possible, the proceeds would also cover a stay with ZŠŠ Roosveltova (where Míša attends), namely in Italy in the summer of 2025.

Daniel is an 11-year-old boy with combined disabilities. He has Marfan syndrome, which is an inherited genetic disease associated with vision problems, overall poor quality connective tissue in the body, which results in weak muscles and tendons throughout the body. This disease also results in a sick heart, Danik has non-closing of both valves and his aorta is enlarged. Danika faces several heart surgeries in the future, while he has already undergone several surgeries on his legs and eyes. Furthermore, Danik has problems with speech, memory, concentration and delayed psychomotor development. He uses a wheelchair to move around. Because of all these difficulties, he is completely dependent on the help of others. He lives with his mother - a single mother and younger sister in a rented apartment.
Danik is a very positive child, he likes to laugh, he really likes cars and all technology (excavators, cranes...), he really likes animals and he likes to plays with other children.
From the proceeds of the Christmas bazaar, the mother would like to buy a special bike for her son, on which Danik could ride and thus strengthen his legs a little. Other common entertainments are not quite physically available for him. The family has tried out the bike from the spa, so he knows he can handle it and he enjoys it. Alternatively, the proceeds would be used to pay for the wheelchair in the part that is not covered by the insurance company.
