Jasmína and Pavel Houdek are the husband and wife behind the successful project Moderní seboobrana (Modern self-defense) in the Czech Republic — their approach to self-defense is very inspiring, builds self-confidence and self-worth, but above all, it is very practical.

Their second book titled It was only a joke... was recently published, which deals with verbal violence - verbal attacks, mockery, manipulation, silencing and undermining of authority. The book offers a strategy for how to respond to comments that aren't physical attacks but can be just as psychologically hurtful — like mockery, put-downs, passive-aggressiveness.

You can meet the authors on December 8 at 6 pm in Nova Cvernovka. The moderator is Zuzana Kovačič Hanzelová, the guest of honor will be the president Zuzana Čaputová.
