Urban Sensors

As part of the module Emerging Fields in Architecture (++), lecture series: PERSPECTIVES, HB2, TU Wien< /h3>

++

The Emerging Fields in Architecture module imparts current knowledge from new research fields in architectural and engineering disciplines, with the aim of current and future To address design challenges in a broader social context in an interdisciplinary and fundamental manner. The lectures impart knowledge about different and interdisciplinary approaches to design, current developments and results in materials and construction method research, about planning and building under/in extreme conditions as well as about structures that change or develop due to changing parameters.

In this context, strategies for design development (from the initial idea to implementation) are questioned in interdisciplinary discourse, and the question of how the path from idea to realization can be shaped and to what extent it is possible to be systematically creative is examined to be.

< strong>JEAN MARC IBOS, MYRTO VITART

The architecture of Jean-Marc Ibos and Myrto Vitart is measured, precise in their insertion and impeccable in their execution. But that is just one facet of their work. Their perfectly controlled works are not only functional, rational objects. They are also very precise, efficient and active "urban sensors". Stimulating our imagination while working within the discipline of architecture and its fundamentals - floor plan, section, facade - and maintaining the focus on functional requirements, these architects open their projects to a new, so to speak, "fictional" one. Dimension.
