University of Vienna: Who can outsmart artificial intelligence?
Event by: FIT Sprungbrett
Location: SBA Research, Floragasse 7, Wien - Wieden
About event
In the workshop we talk about where AI affects us in everyday life met; met; e.g. B. when chatting, on social media or in apps. Students learn how AI works, why it sometimes makes mistakes and how it handles personal data. Using simple examples and small exercises, we show what you should pay attention to so that AI systems can be used safely and how they can be attacked. The aim is to get a feel for what AI can do and what its limits are; and what that has to do with IT security.
Workshop leader:
Univ.-Prof. PD Mag. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Edgar Weippl
"What excites me about applied IT security is that through offensive approaches, for example in capture-the-flag competitions or by targeted attacks on systems, you can uncover vulnerabilities in order to develop concrete and effective protective measures."
This event is only open to girls* and women*.
