About event
The world, and in it Slovakia too, are going through huge changes; we oscillate between strengthening international ties and regressive and isolationist tendencies. Symbols of national pride are emptied and serve as a universal argument for various ideological movements.
What do we want to be proud of as residents of Slovakia?
What motivates us, what encourages us to positive goals?
What did "our Slovakia" fall asleep and what exactly does it mean when "Slovaks come alive"?
We spoke to three Slovak directors (Dragun, Rázusová, Vollmann) with by assigning them to respond to a fictitious (visionary?) task of finding a new anthem of the Slovak Republic. The goal of three separate, original artistic reactions is to find a tone, discourse, or optics through which we can confront the current challenges we face as a Slovak, Central European, post-socialist, small-town (…) society.

ℕ𝔸𝔻 𝕋𝔸𝕋ℝ𝕆𝕌 𝕁𝔼 𝔻𝔼ℙ𝕂𝔸 is a provocative one man show by Petr Ondrejička, in which he is alone and burnt out like almost everyone in this republic. Peter Ondrejička would like to be up-to-date, but he can't do it, because by the time he learns the text, something new will surely happen here again. So Peter Ondrejička prefers to feel sorry for himself, swear, sing, burn himself and drink - because Peter Ondrejička respects traditional Slovak values. However, Petr Ondrejička's out-of-date stand-up lament may finally lead to a bright future for Slovakia.
