Workshops that give more!
These workshops support and develop:
* Integration - creative work brings people together, regardless of age and experience
* Sustainable development and ecology - we use local wool and old woolen threads, which we give new life
* Motor development - working with wool strengthens the precision of hands and teaches patience
* Belief in one's own strength - each participant ends the workshop with his or her own, unique work
* Teamwork - joint creation builds relationships between children and adults
* Personal development - you will discover new skills and creative courage
* Equality - workshops are open to everyone, regardless of gender, age and experience
What is felting?
It is one of the oldest techniques of material production - known for thousands of years and completely ecological! During the workshops you will learn how to transform raw wool into beautiful and practical items. We work with high-quality wool from local breeders from Germany and Austria - including southern German merino wool, wool from mountain sheep, Moorschnucke, Skudden and Welsh black-nosed sheep.
Kasia makes sure that participants work with natural, ethically sourced materials and learn a conscious approach to handicraft.
She also uses old woolen threads that are woven into new projects - it's a great way to recycle and have a creative approach to resources!
Who is Kasia Adamek
- sculptor, teacher and handicraft enthusiast. She was born in Opole, and has been living and working between Berlin and Poland for 20 years. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław and the University of Opole, and also studied as a guest at HGB in Leipzig. For years, she was a coordinator of cultural events in Leipzig, and today she runs her own atelier and creative workshops for children, teenagers and adults.
