Three children's choirs from Žilina, Trenčín and Liptovský Hrádek - one common voice. A pre-Christmas gathering of little male and female singers that will warm up the winter season. Come and enjoy the energy of children's voices that come together in the harmony of joy, friendship and music.
The Žiliňáčik Children's Choir
was founded in September 2022. Since its foundation, it has undergone significant development - it has expanded to include new members and has become an active part of cultural life in Žilina and beyond.
While the first year it functioned as a single group for children aged 9 to 14 years old, today he works in two age categories – younger preparatory (6–9 years) and older (10–16 years).
Žiliňáčik has had several successful concerts not only in Slovakia, but also in the Czech Republic. In the 2023/2024 school year, the choir took part in its first competition - the Chamber Music Festival in Čadec, where it won the gold band and the festival board prize.
The conductor of the choir is Barbora Brosová Lipková.
Dragon Children's Choir
has been working at the Dlhé Hony Elementary School in Trenčín since 2007. Its membership consists of pupils from grades 2-9. year of this school and also former students of this school. The founder, leader and conductor of the choir is PaedDr. Miroslava Kaliňáková. Since 2023, Mária Chovancová has been the accompanist of the choir.
The choir's repertoire consists primarily of compositions from the 20th century, choral arrangements of folk songs and Christmas repertoire. Since 2013, she regularly participates in choral singing competitions. At the national competition Mládež spieva he won gold and silver bands, at the international competition Voce magna he won bronze and silver bands. He was awarded several times by the mayor of Trenčín. In 2017 and 2019, he received the Flores musarum award of the Trenčín self-governing region for his achievements in working with children and representing the Trenčín self-governing region.
Released 2 CDs. He cooperates with several choirs, with whom he also holds joint concerts.
The Lúč Children's Choir
was founded in September 2014 on the initiative of the then director Bronislava Majerčíková. The first conductor of the choir was Mgr. Viera Bystrická, who led the choir for 2 years. After her departure, the choir was taken over by the current choirmaster Bronislava Majerčíková, who gave the choir the name Luč as a continuation of the tradition of the Úsvit children's choir in Liptovský Hrádek, which for many years was led by Mgr. Danica Búliková. Simona Petričková was Lúča's longtime accompanist and soulmate. Since September, Želmíra Chovancová and Samuel Plachtinský have been accompanying us on the piano.
The Lúč choir currently has 23 members and its repertoire includes a number of compositions from sacred music, through folk songs to compositions in a modern style of popular music, which its conductor arranges especially for the choir. The choir enriches the school's cultural events with its performances and performs at various occasions and events of the City of Liptovský Hrádok.
