🧡 The treatise On the Contemplation of God, like the treatise The Prayer, is a testimony of the search for God's face in the life of the Benedictine abbot Vilém (1075–1148), which is intended to encourage other monks on the path of their own search. In the treatise On the nature and dignity of love, he opposes the doctrine of worldly love, which was spread thanks to the reading of some ancient authors and adversely influenced the mentality of the monks, and offers his brothers the true doctrine for their growth in the love of God, which draws abundantly from the Scriptures and teachings Fathers, and in addition to theological knowledge, it also comes from his own mystical experiences. Come and draw from the wisdom of the monks for your own life with God.
